Puzzles
Finding connections between disparate things is at the heart of my collage work. Looking for visual harmonies I assemble fragments of handmade textured papers made with a variety of natural materials: Mulberry leaves, Teak leaves, banana leaves, rice grass and pine tree fibers with my recycled photographs and watercolors, it’s akin to putting a puzzle together. These Puzzles are then liberated with gestural brush strokes in black India ink.
